Echo Bench, so named as there are echoes in the design of styles which we love … traditional, oriental, mid-twentieth century modern, continental … designed to fit effortlessly into a number of settings and serve a number of uses, occasional extra seating in a sitting room yet tall enough to work at a dining table, a useful and striking hallway piece, a helpful addition in a bedroom at the bottom of the bed or underneath a window. Whether positioned against a wall or floating out in a space, Echo Bench makes its’ mark. Refined enough to hold its own in a stately setting, a period property or an uptown apartment, rustic enough, thanks to a gentle patina, to sit comfortably in the cosiest of cottages. The Layla version (Riad Collection) features a luxurious faux shearling velvet deep seat cushion (removable cover) in a subtle taupe colourway, trimmed in a fresh green cotton cord. Information: Our bench frame is handcrafted in an aged pine and an air dried, inside for 3 – 4 years, Douglas Fir (for the turned legs), then hand polished to a subtle matte finish with a hint of satin and a gentle patina. The seat cushion is constructed using Fire Retardant (FR) materials, fibre wad in a gusseted FR calico barrier cloth casing to ensure that the plump appearance is maintenance free, the tailored removable cover has a zip to the underside.
